In the latest episode of "Show me your home", we get a tour of the model and influencer, Julie Blichfeld. She invites us into her 80 m2 apartment on Østerbro in Copenhagen, which she shares with her boyfriend and their two boys. The apartment reflects both family life and Julie's passion for design. Along the way, Julie shares her thoughts on interior design, talks about the personal items that have a special meaning, and shows us the small details that make the apartment unique.
Julie Blichfeld's home is a combination of modern style and functional decor that suits both career and family life. The apartment is bright, spacious and an open floor plan makes it easy for the family to be together. The home is furnished with simplicity and elegance, where carefully selected furniture and trinkets create a cozy atmosphere.
In the episode, Julie shows around the living room and dining room, which is one open, connected room. The living room serves as the family's central meeting point, with a yellow sofa from OMHU and a Verner Panton Phantom coffee table that is both decorative and functional. A unique vintage display cabinet that once stood in an Italian café holds beautiful glass and ceramics in different shapes and colors. This area oozes personality and warmth, where modern design and vintage elements meet.
The dining area is just as well thought out, with a table surrounded by an eclectic mix of chairs: including Arne Jacobsen's classic 7-seater chair with armrests in cognac. Julie particularly emphasizes the chair's comfort and timeless design. The entire room is characterized by her sense of organic shapes and colorful details, which can be seen in both the furniture and the artwork on the walls.
During the tour, Julie reveals some of the details that make her home special. One of the first things you notice is a colorful mirror by Gustaf Westman, which adds a playful element. On the walls hang artworks made by her friend, Camilla Skov, whose colorful and symbolic works add uniqueness and depth to the space.
The apartment is also full of small creative spots for the children. For example, there are always crayons in the window, and Julie says that one of the nicest things they do together as a family is to draw Pokémon figures and tombstones. Around the apartment you will also find Julie's own ceramic works - she is particularly fond of a cup she made herself, which is perfect for a flat white coffee.
The bedroom is designed as a peaceful oasis where there is room for relaxation. Here, the focus is on a simple and minimalist interior with a soft bed and a touch of luxury. Functionality has also been thought of, with plenty of built-in storage space that utilizes every square meter – a must in an 80 m2 apartment. The smart storage solutions ensure that the room feels calm and tidy, even if it contains much more than you first see.
The children's rooms are both playful and practical, with plenty of space for play, creative expression and storage of toys, so that the children have room to explore and be creative in everyday life.
In this episode of Show Me Your Home, viewers get to know Julie Blichfeld better and get an insight into how she balances career and family life. Her home on Østerbro reflects her sense of style and her desire to create a place where both children and adults thrive. The series highlights her ability to design with both aesthetics and functionality in mind, and shows a home that is as dynamic and versatile as herself.
