Through an autonomous experimental design approach and the use of strong materials is ReflectionsCopenhagen pioneer in the creative field to create the highest aesthetic designs that unite exquisite materials and geometric shapes into functional art objects. Reflections Copenhagen, founded in 2015 by the Danish designer, Andrea Larsson.
The Reflections Copenhagen designs are balanced to challenge the traditional styles, colors and shapes of today's interior design by adding new dimensions and possibilities to interior design. All irregularities and inconsistencies are part of the special handmade character and elegance.

The original idea of creating ReflectionsCopenhagen emerged from the mutual feeling that something different was needed, something that countered the traditional and a desire to be able to create a fusion of dynamic Reflections that appeals to unconventional ways of using the perfect - combination of interior design and art . Reflections Copenhagen wants to challenge the perception of 'mass production' in their designs, where sustainability is also always considered.
- How did the idea behind Reflections Copenhagen come about and what inspired you to start this project?
The idea arose because we think there was a need for something new in Scandinavian interior design. Something that was more daring and fun, but also products that could be used to reflect the light in the interior
- Reflections Copenhagen is recognized as a pioneer in your way of designing. Can you elaborate on your unique design approach and explain how it affects your creative process?
I think it's about a mixture of several elements, which above all represent a design approach without too many rules. It's about not letting yourself be limited by what is possible or what is expected, but instead constantly challenging yourself to be brave and innovative and to stretch the boundaries of the materials' potential. At the same time, it is also about inspiring and encouraging a unique and different approach to interior design. I also find some joy in creating accessories - small elements that actually have a significant impact and effect, a personal effect. As a designer, I think this is a necessity.
The creative process just becomes more fun when there are no restrictions.
For me, the product must be able to stand alone as a solid unit. It must have long-term functionality, but also be able to function spontaneously in terms of feelings and sensations. I design what I myself care about and I set high standards for myself. I don't think we should add things to this world unless we've put in the effort, and I believe in focusing on lasting objects that can last for generations.
My design process is driven by an inner feeling, and I have promised myself to maintain this. I value design and art highly, and I am inspired by both the present and our previous fantastical design periods.

- You describe the Reflections Copenhagen designs as being balanced to challenge traditional styles, colors and shapes in today's interior design. How do you work to introduce new dimensions and possibilities for interior design through your designs?
I think especially with the colors and their composition that we challenge the traditional and the expected.
I focus on creating designs that balance functionality and aesthetic beauty. And that in itself (hopefully) means that the customer himself can help, with our design, create his own universe and personal interior design.
In addition, I think in general that working with a fine crystal in a completely different way than you have done so far is interesting and also that we should allow ourselves to use our beautiful objects in everyday life, instead of hiding them away and only taking forward when you have guests.
- Sustainability seems to be an important value for Reflections Copenhagen. Can you share more about how you integrate sustainability into the design process and how you challenge the perception of 'mass production'?
It is important to surround yourself with beautiful things, it does something good for us. But the whole "buy and throw away" culture just doesn't work anymore. We sell everything, even the broken ones. We don't overproduce and our products are really good quality.

- How has Reflections Copenhagen developed since its foundation in 2015, and what challenges and milestones have you experienced along the way?
Since 2015, the company has undergone significant development and I am proud that we have managed to maintain our original values. Our range has been significantly expanded, and I have had the opportunity to explore the design of, among other things, drinking glasses, perfume bottles and scent shelters, which I think is so fantastic and fun.
We collaborate globally with some of the largest retailers and have established skilled and remarkable partnerships internationally. It's crazy fun.
- What does the future look like for Reflections Copenhagen, and what goals and visions do you have for the company?
If only you could tell fortunes or look into the wishing well. I have many visions and constantly maintain myself in the goals we have set ourselves. I would like my brand to stand out visibly and for us to maintain the good design and the healthy values that I think we have. Besides, in terms of design, I have so many things I want to do.
- How does Reflections Copenhagen view the growing e-commerce platforms such as Splish.dk, and how has this digital presence affected your approach to marketing and sales?
It is clear that it has great value for our company. The digital landscape opens up wider and more direct access to our target group. WE can reach a larger and more global customer base and we can present our brand in a visually appealing way through images, video and interactive content. We are constantly trying to adapt our marketing strategies to the online audience as well as the physical retailers. Through e-trade's platform, we can also collect valuable data that we can use to hopefully create a better buying experience for our customers.
- What are your personal favorite designs in your collection or most memorable moments in connection with Reflections Copenhagen?
It changes a bit with the favourites. I always love the news. Seeing something come to life from a drawing, an idea, a collaboration. That might be one of the best things I know. The most memorable moments are actually some of those where we see physical tests come home. Everyone in the office loves it.
When we got the very first samples of the crystal home and couldn't wait to open them. Honestly, I thought; this is fu… one of the nicest things I've ever seen.
