Vahid Sharifian (b. 1982) is an Iranian artist from Esfahan who now lives in Los Angeles, USA. He is known for his sexual and provocative works of art, which have been exhibited in prestigious places such as Ropac Gallery in Paris, James Fuentes LLC in New York, Chelsea Art Museum in New York, Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, Den Frie Udstilling in Copenhagen, Guangju Museum in South Korea and at the Venice Biennale in 2015. Sharifian's art has been featured in renowned media such as Artnews, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Art in America. In 2011 he was selected as one of the 100 New Artists in the book by Francesca Gavin, published by Laurence King Publishers.
