2 x Italian armchairs with footstool from the 1950s

This exceptionally elegant set of two armchairs and a footstool originates from Italy and was probably made in the early 1950s. Although the chairs date from this period, they bear subtle references to the neoclassical style, creating a beautiful blend of aesthetics. The minimalist yet refined shape reflects a delicate neoclassical influence, reminiscent of designs by renowned designers Gio Ponti and Paolo Buffa. The chairs are newly upholstered in wide velour fabric in a luxurious golden beige colour, giving a modern and sophisticated look. The ergonomically shaped backs and thick seats ensure a high level of comfort.

The high backs with softly rounded top edges and three decorative buttons add a classic element to the design. The slender, tapered legs in a dark finish, finished with brass feet, support the elegant expression and reflect the refined detailing that characterizes Italian furniture design from the 1950s.

The set has been professionally renovated to preserve both its authenticity and finish. The wood has been refreshed and the brass feet have been polished. The new velour upholstery has given the furniture a fresh look and restored its original elegance.
