Product description

Six white Kangaroo chairs designed by Ernst Moeckl for the Horn Collection in West Germany in 1968. These stackable chairs from the late 1960s and early 1970s are also known as Z chairs, named for their distinctive leg shape.

The design was groundbreaking for its time – both in its futuristic design language and in the use of the innovative material Baydur, a molded polyurethane duromer. The surface is treated with high-quality DD lacquer, which provides a durable and glossy finish.

The chairs are light, strong and comfortable, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. They are in good vintage condition with light signs of wear such as scratches and minor paint damage. The construction is stable and intact.

A rare find and an iconic set for collectors of experimental designs from late 1960s Germany.

Bought a used Wegner armchair, which was delivered directly from a dealer. So it seems that Splish collaborates with different dealers who are then responsible for the delivery. Therefore it feels a bit like I could have just as well ordered directly from the dealer, but at the same time it is quite nice that you can compare products across dealers on the website. The quality was as described and the delivery was problem-free, however the delivery took 9 days, while the website said 3-7 days. All in all, very satisfied.
