Product description

Four early Pirkka chairs designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara for Finnish Laukaan Puu in 1955. These classic chairs have a seat and backrest in solid pine combined with black-lacquered birch legs – a contrast that emphasizes the simple and honest expression Tapiovaara is known for.

This is the first edition produced by Laukaan Puu, before production was later taken over by Asko and then Artek. All chairs are branded: "Laukaan Puu – Made in Finland – Tapiovaara Design".

The chairs appear to be in good vintage condition with normal signs of wear and tear. The wood joints have been inspected and possibly repaired.

The price is for the entire set of four chairs.

Bought a used Wegner armchair, which was delivered directly from a dealer. So it seems that Splish collaborates with different dealers who are then responsible for the delivery. Therefore it feels a bit like I could have just as well ordered directly from the dealer, but at the same time it is quite nice that you can compare products across dealers on the website. The quality was as described and the delivery was problem-free, however the delivery took 9 days, while the website said 3-7 days. All in all, very satisfied.
