Jane Anderson was born in 1952 in Portsmouth, England, and studied at the Ealing School of Art and the Slade School of Art, London. She worked with Treadwell Gallery from 1972 to 1990. It is interesting to note how her work evolved from the heterosexually sensual drawings and lithographs of the early seventies (panties and boots, striped socks) to works that were aware of women's issues in the late seventies and eighties (eg the great "Ironing Board" of 1979). At the Düsseldorf Art Fair in 1972 we sold several of her "Boots" drawings to the established Italian art historian and gallerist, Arturo Schwarz, and The Nationale Bibliotheque in Paris was among the many international buyers of her work (Ironing Board).

Bought a used Wegner armchair, which was delivered directly from a dealer. So it seems that Splish collaborates with different dealers who are then responsible for the delivery. Therefore it feels a bit like I could have just as well ordered directly from the dealer, but at the same time it is quite nice that you can compare products across dealers on the website. The quality was as described and the delivery was problem-free, however the delivery took 9 days, while the website said 3-7 days. All in all, very satisfied.
