JUNDO daybed | MOTARASU

Model JUNDO daybed designed by Mads Emil Garde and winner of the Scandinavian Design Award 2022 in the Best Furniture category. The name Jundo is Japanese for purity and refers to the designer's investigation of how far one can go with one simple basic form. The result is a poetic and flexible piece of furniture that can be adapted to different usage situations.

The daybed's structure makes it possible to vary the expression depending on how and how many cushions are used. The cushions can be placed across the ribs, along the ribs or up a wall, which gives great freedom in both function and aesthetics. The construction combines architectural rigor with comfort and is created for long-term use.

JUNDO daybed is delivered fully assembled in a solid outer box with the selected number of cushions. The construction consists of 16 ribs in compressed beech veneer, assembled with brass fittings. The cushions are made of high-density foam and upholstered in Sørensen Leather Optimo in the color Cognac. The choice of materials ensures both durability, comfort and an exclusive look.

Care

Vacuum the leather once or twice a month with a soft brush. Once or twice a year, a thorough cleaning can be done with a lather made from soap flakes dissolved in warm water. Apply the lather with a dry, soft cloth and avoid direct contact with water. Avoid using bar soap, saddle soap, leather cleaner, household cleaners and chemical products. Protect from direct sunlight, heat and sharp objects.
