Model dining room chairs designed by Kurt Østervig for KP Møbler in the 1960s. The chairs are made of solid rosewood with beautifully coordinated grains and seats upholstered with black upholstery. An elegant example of Danish furniture art, where form, function and craftsmanship are united in a harmonious expression.

The chairs appear in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of wear and are preserved in near original condition. A set of six that combines classic Danish joinery quality with timeless aesthetics – an obvious choice for both modern and classic interiors. A sustainable choice for the quality-conscious collector.

Kurt Østervig (1912–1986) was originally trained as a naval architect in Odense, but switched direction early on to furniture design. He collaborated with a number of leading Danish manufacturers such as Bernh. Pedersen & Søn, Bramin, Sibast and Vamo. Østervig's design language is characterized by functional elegance, natural materials and a special sense of proportion, which makes his works sought after by collectors today.

Bought a used Wegner armchair, which was delivered directly from a dealer. So it seems that Splish collaborates with different dealers who are then responsible for the delivery. Therefore it feels a bit like I could have just as well ordered directly from the dealer, but at the same time it is quite nice that you can compare products across dealers on the website. The quality was as described and the delivery was problem-free, however the delivery took 9 days, while the website said 3-7 days. All in all, very satisfied.
