Ontwerpbureau Gispen – 4 x dining chairs for Gispen, approx. The 1960s

Four vintage Gispen 1231 chairs designed by Ontwerpbureau Gispen around 1960.
Model 1231 is characterized by its simple tubular steel frame without armrests – unlike model 1235.
Three of the chairs have chrome frames, while one has original grey paint. The seat and back are upholstered in original leather in black, blue and green.
The back of the frame is designed as a practical handle, and the chairs still have the original floor cushions.
The chairs appear to be in very good condition with light signs of wear commensurate with their age. One chair is marked with a plate from TU Delft, for which Gispen produced it.
