A legend from the 1950s: Model 1728 by Rob Parry, designed for Gelderland in 1953. This chair is a challenge to the "Good Home" ideal of the time and was originally designed for the wine company Ferwerda & Tieman. It was shown at the Milan Triennale in 1954 and today stands as a strong example of experimental Dutch design.
The chair has a characteristic frame in solid round steel and colorful upholstery in black, yellow, gray and white. The original leather upholstery is largely preserved, however, the back of the backrest has been renewed with black leather. It appears in good, original condition with age-appropriate signs of wear.
