SHIRO bowls | MOTARASU

SHIRO is a collection of simple and sculptural bowls designed to hold all kinds of food and drink. Each of the three shapes comes in two sizes - a small and a large. 

Shiro is the Japanese word for white. The small indigo blue dot is inspired by small Japanese stamps that are often used to sign a product or paper. The dot also indicates the size of the bowl.

The SHIRO bowls are handmade in thin, transparent porcelain. Due to the very soft and lively material and the high temperature firing, each bowl will have an individual curve that makes each piece unique. The collection is made in Vietnam at a Danish DANIDA-supported ceramics factory in a region with more than 1.000 years of ceramic production tradition.
