Product description

Model Verona 320 pendant designed by Svend Middelboe and manufactured by Lyfa. A new-old original version, still in its original box. The lamp is made up of seven shades in matt white aluminium, which are designed to provide a soft, glare-free and even light. When the lamp is switched on, the shades self-illuminate and create a calm and sculptural expression in the room.

The Verona series was introduced in 1968 and is today one of Middelboe's most recognized designs. The construction is inspired by the Arena di Verona and follows a functionalist approach, where the geometry of the shades directs the light, conceals the light source and creates a floating visual lightness. Each lamp is still assembled by hand using traditional methods.

Svend Middelboe worked with lampshade constructions throughout his career and is known for his collaboration with Jørn Utzon in the 1940s. The Verona pendant stands today as an icon of Danish lighting design.

Bought a used Wegner armchair, which was delivered directly from a dealer. So it seems that Splish collaborates with different dealers who are then responsible for the delivery. Therefore it feels a bit like I could have just as well ordered directly from the dealer, but at the same time it is quite nice that you can compare products across dealers on the website. The quality was as described and the delivery was problem-free, however the delivery took 9 days, while the website said 3-7 days. All in all, very satisfied.
