Theo Ruth – Model 105 Hairpin sofa for Artifort, 1950s

Sofa model 105 with armrests designed by Theo Ruth for Artifort around 1955. A sculptural and playful design that is characteristic of the organic style that characterized the 1950s. The sofa has been carefully restored and professionally reupholstered with high-quality Camira fabric in black and yellow, giving it a fresh and exclusive look.

Theo Ruth was head of the design and development department at Artifort from 1939 to 1971, and this sofa is an excellent example of his early work for the company. A piece of furniture that is both decorative and comfortable, and is also documented in Artifort's own catalogues.
