This elegant set of eight dining chairs, which have been completely renovated, was acquired in Paris and was probably made by Thonet in the 1950s. The chairs probably originate from the Plaza Athénée hotel in Paris, France (last photo). They have a distinctively elegant and simple design. The chairs have been completely renovated and have been reupholstered in natural Italian L'Interno wool boucle fabric by Franco Fabbri, giving them an even more stylish look. The wood has been cleaned and re-lacquered with black lacquer, and new foam inserts have been added to increase seating comfort, although the seats still rest on the original coil springs. There are slight variations in the assembly method and dimensions.
