Product description

Set of four dining chairs designed by Vestervig Eriksen and manufactured by Brdr. Tromborg in Lystrup, Denmark in the 1960s. The chairs are made of teak and are characterized by their elegant shape and fine details — including the characteristic knobs on each side of the seat, originally designed to hang ladies' handbags.

The design combines lightness and comfort with a refined, functional expression typical of Vestervig Eriksen's work. The chairs appear in very fine vintage condition without damage, with a beautiful uniform patina that highlights the warm glow of the wood.

A set that combines craftsmanship, function and Danish design tradition in a classy way.

Vestervig Eriksen (1916–1999) was a prominent figure in Danish furniture design and worked for several leading manufacturers. His designs are characterized by simplicity, precision and well-thought-out functional details that still appeal to collectors and design connoisseurs today.

Bought a used Wegner armchair, which was delivered directly from a dealer. So it seems that Splish collaborates with different dealers who are then responsible for the delivery. Therefore it feels a bit like I could have just as well ordered directly from the dealer, but at the same time it is quite nice that you can compare products across dealers on the website. The quality was as described and the delivery was problem-free, however the delivery took 9 days, while the website said 3-7 days. All in all, very satisfied.
