Yngve Ekström - 6 teak dining chairs, model Kontiki, 1960s

Beautiful set of six vintage dining chairs designed by renowned Swedish designer Yngve Ekström for Hugo Troeds. The model is called Kontiki and is an elegant example of Scandinavian design from the 1960s with clean lines, solid craftsmanship and modern lightness. The price is for all six chairs.

The chairs are made of teak and appear in excellent condition after careful restoration. The wooden frames have been sanded and oiled to bring out the natural glow and structure of the wood. One of the chairs has a repaired area (shown in the last picture), which is completely stable and does not affect functionality or aesthetics.

The seats are newly upholstered in a deep, royal blue textile, adding a modern and fresh look. Under the seat you will find a stamp from the manufacturer, confirming the chair's origin.
